Boycott AG? For or Against and why...

I fully support Girls Inc. They don't provide abortions, which some of the boycotting organizations are presenting. They do provide resources to girls who are questioning their sexuality.

Personally, I find accurate resources a lot more appropriate than sending a child to a program like Love in Action or any other Exodus ministries program. I would rather my child be healthy and informed about her decisions than be subjected to psychological torture in a hostile and hateful facility that is not even licensed by the APA.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. I have a hard time being told to accept something because it is "God's will." How do we know it is God's will? I don't believe the Bible is the direct word of God. I believe it has been colored by the biases and agendas of the many generations preceding ours to the point where it no longer represents the true word of the Lord.

I don't see myself as God's puppet. I believe that he wants me to live my life and make my own decisions as best I can. I believe that he wants me to grow and learn on my own, even though I may make some mistakes in the process. I would rather make a decision because _I_ feel it is the "right" thing to do, instead of doing it because someone else tells me it is what I should do.

I just feel that some people use religion as a crutch so that they don't have to think through these issues. I'll take the path of critical thinking over blind obedience any day.

See, I'm just the opposite. I would gladly and proudly blindly obey God any day.
